Gembloux.beer: the university brewery
Launched in 2019, the Gembloux.beer cooperative is finally realizing a dream: to produce Bière de l'Abbaye de Gembloux on its native land. Created in 1980 by a professor and students at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech (ULiège), this beer has until now been brewed elsewhere. Today, it returns to Gembloux thanks to a unique collaboration between the students, the brewery and the Agro Gembloux Invest cooperative, supported by over 200 cooperative members.
In addition to this emblematic beer, the brewery offers a varied range: lagers, IPAs, triple scotch ale, barrel-aged beers and limited editions. Thanks to state-of-the-art equipment and the expertise of Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, the brewery has established itself as "The University Brewery".
